Christopher Dempsey, new partner of the firm

Christopher Dempsey, "Avocat" at the Paris Bar and admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of England & Wales. He holds a Master 1 in French and English law from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, as well as a Bachelor of Law (LL.B) in English and French law from King's College, University of London.

Having commenced his career at Clifford Chance in London, Christopher practiced for seven years within the Department of Energy and Natural Resources at JeantetAssociés.

With a dual qualification, Christopher intervenes in the area of international business law and is aware of the differing issues under Common Law and Civil law.

Christopher's area of expertise includes, in particular, energy projects (gas, electricity and renewable energy) and natural resources (mining sector in particular) in France, in Europe and in Africa, at a regulatory and contractual level.

Christopher joins the firm together with Guillaume de Rubercy.

Guillaume de Rubercy is an "Avocat" at the Paris Bar and a Doctor of Law. He is the holder of a Master's degree from HEC Paris "Law and International Management" and is holder of a post graduate diploma in European business law from University Paris V - René Descartes.

After having commenced his career in the nuclear industry, Guillaume de Rubercy has developed over several years, within JeantetAssociés, an expertise that is specific to the area of energy and natural resources in Europe and in Africa. Guillaume regularly intervenes in these geographical areas on behalf of clients within the context of their projects in the energy and natural resources sectors.

Guillaume de Rubercy is also the author of a book and of several publications which concern legal and financial issues inherent to nuclear energy.

Eric Charvillat, new associate in Banking-Finance

The Banking-Finance department grows with the recruitment of a new senior associate, Eric Charvillat.

The Banking-Finance department is involved in the financing of public projects, and in particular of PPP's, as well as of assets (aircrafts, buildings ...), debt restructuring, leasing operations or acquisitions (M&A and Private Equity operations).

Eric holds a postgraduate degree of Economic Public Law (Paris II). He began his professional career in April 2000; he has lead it as legal counsel in first class financial establishments (Dexia Crédit Local, Caisse Nationale des Caisses d'Epargne, Crédit Agricole Leasing-AUXIFIP and Société Générale). He contributed to the legal structuring of the financing of many projects (garbage waste incineration plants for public operators, rolling materiel for regions, or public works and equipment for the state and for public administrations) or assets (in particular through tax leasing), or of refinancing operations (creation of land-bank companies, monetization operations of debts held against public operators, etc.).

Jean-Luc Marchand et Pauline de Lanzac, new partners of the firm

Jean-Luc Marchand, cofounder in 2000 of the lawfirm MBA, having previsouly worked at Price Waterhouse, now heads the Tax department ; Pauline de Lanzac, who joined the firm in 2004, after having worked at Jeantet Associés in Paris and CMS Cameron McKenna in Prague, the Competition Law department.
